One of the associated troubles we encounter if one of the services associated with an instance of svchost.exe causes an exception that Windows is not prepared to handle the entire process will end. Also, because it is a common process, malware and other damaging programs enacts svchost.exe.

Most often these malicious softwares exploit vulnerabilities in the Windows operating system. Anyhow, keeping your operating system updated closes these holes in the security and prevents the viruses from getting through.Another possible cause of a svchost error is a low memory condition on your computer. If you are using a memory intensive program or programs, and a low memory condition takes place, problems in memory may occur in a dll file. If this is the case, the svchost cannot restart. To resolve this issue, there are two steps. First, make sure your computer is fully updated, and second restart the computer. Take care when running memory intensive programs, and if necessary turn off the PAE specification. PAE is the Intel Physical Addressing Extensions that allows a computer to support more than four Gigabytes of installed memory.
